As a Sydney tax advisory firm, we provide strategic tax planning and compliance support for business owners who need clarity, structure, and proactive advice, not just end of year tax returns. Work with experienced tax advisors who understand growth, risk, and long-term planning.

If you are dealing with complex tax issues, growth decisions, or need proactive advice, our tax advisory firm can help you understand your options. As a result, you can plan with confidence.
In particular, Quantum House works with established businesses that generate over $3 million in annual revenue. Our tax advisory work sits above routine compliance. It deals with the decisions that change how much tax a business and its owners pay over time. This matters more than usual now, because the 2026-27 Federal Budget proposes major changes to trusts and capital gains (see our Budget highlights). For individual and business tax returns, our tax accountants in Sydney can also help.

Good tax advice is mostly about timing. The best outcomes usually come from decisions made before a transaction, a restructure or the end of the financial year, rather than after it. As a tax advisory firm, we focus on those decisions. In addition, Australian tax law changes regularly, and each change can affect how a business reports income, claims deductions or qualifies for an incentive.
In practice, that means reviewing your structure each year, modelling the tax effect of major decisions and keeping private company and trust arrangements in order. For practical ideas, read our 10 tax tips for businesses generating $5M+ in revenue.
Our advisers combine technical depth with commercial understanding, particularly in business structuring, Division 7A, trust distributions, CGT concessions and eligibility for the Research and Development Tax Incentive and other ATO tax incentive programs.
As a tax advisory firm, our approach is based on structure, communication and consistent delivery. First, we learn how your business and your family group fit together. Then we align tax advice with your broader strategy and agree the timing of each step.
Quantum House advises clients across many industries, including technology, professional services, manufacturing, and wholesale. For routine lodgements, our tax accountants in Sydney work alongside our advisers, so compliance and planning stay consistent.

A structure that suited a start-up may not suit a business with several owners, significant assets or plans to sell. Eligible small businesses can sometimes move active assets between entities without immediate income tax under the small business restructure roll-over, provided ultimate economic ownership does not change. We assess whether a restructure is worth doing and how to do it safely.
Money taken from a private company by a shareholder or associate can be treated as an unfranked dividend. A loan avoids this only if it is put under a written agreement before the company's lodgment day and minimum yearly repayments are then made. The ATO explains the rules in its guide to Division 7A loans. We review loan accounts each year, so repayments are planned rather than discovered.
Trusts remain a useful tool, but distributions now attract closer scrutiny. The ATO's guidance on trust reimbursement agreements explains when section 100A can apply. We also advise on family trust elections and their consequences.
The 2026-27 Federal Budget proposes replacing the CGT discount with cost base indexation from 1 July 2027, and a minimum 30% tax on discretionary trusts from 1 July 2028. These measures are not yet law and may change. Even so, owners holding assets in trusts should start modelling the effect now. Our Budget highlights summarise the proposals.
The small business CGT concessions can reduce or remove the gain on selling an active business asset. One basic condition is the maximum net asset value test, which caps the net value of your CGT assets and those of related entities at $6 million. Because eligibility depends on facts well before a sale, planning should start early. See also our guide to business succession planning.
Companies developing new products, software or processes may be eligible for the R&D Tax Incentive. Claims depend on registering the activities and keeping records as the work is done. Our R&D Tax Incentive specialists manage the process from eligibility to lodgement.
Businesses that trade, borrow or hold related entities overseas face transfer pricing and thin capitalisation rules. These rules affect how profits and interest deductions are measured in Australia. Our international trade services also cover the GST side of cross-border activity.
If the ATO reviews your affairs, an early and well-prepared response usually leads to a better outcome. If you disagree with an assessment, the time limit to object is generally 2 years for most individuals and small and medium businesses, and 4 years for other taxpayers. The ATO sets this out in its guide to objection time limits. Where you find an error first, a voluntary disclosure can reduce penalties.
Vehicles and other benefits, contractor payments and property holdings can each create tax costs that are easy to overlook. Therefore, we review these exposures alongside income tax, so that a saving in one area does not create a liability in another.
If you are dealing with complex tax issues, growth decisions, or need proactive advice, our team can help you understand your options and plan with confidence.
